About us
Welcome to the LSE Cricket Club!
The LSE CC provides a fantastic opportunity for both Men and Women to play some university cricket. Whether you're new to the game or have represented your country, we've got a spot for you.
The CC trains in the Marshall Building every Friday, and at Lord's Cricket Ground (the Home of Cricket) three times a term, and has matches at our grounds in Berrylands throughout the summer term. No matter your standard or previous cricketing experience, the club caters to all abilities and interests by having three outdoor teams playing in both BUCS (National) and LUSL (London) leagues, a Women's team entered into a London universities league, and an indoor team. We also arrange a range of friendly fixtures, alumni games and interclub games, so there's enough cricket for everyone to get involved!
As well as top notch cricket, the CC hosts some of the best socials in the SU. We have socials every Wednesday night with a strong turnout to LSE’s biggest night of the week, the notorious Sway Bar. The CC is also guaranteed to provide a large attendance to all the AU events such as Carol, Fight Night and AU Ball!
Every year the CC go on an international tour as well as a domestic mini-tour where you’ll have the opportunity to play some competitive cricket and make memories of a lifetime with some true legends.
We’re a diverse and inclusive society and welcome anyone that wants to come along. Whether you’re here for the socials or the matches, you’re bound to have a great time. The CC is a true community and gets involved in charity and community work throughout the year. The friendly environment of the club allows you to make friends across the university in all year groups. You’ll be sure to see someone from the CC wherever you go whether that’s the library or the SU bar.
This year, the CC is looking to build on last year's fantastic success, both on and off the pitch so we need your help more than ever. Be sure to come along to our ‘give it a go sessions’ if you’re considering joining, and if you can’t attend be sure to get in touch regardless!
We’re all really excited to meet everyone and have a large one this year!

Membership
The CC offers 3 types of membership: men’s membership, women’s membership and social membership.
Men’s members have all the access of social members and are also entitled to play in our BUCS (National) and LUSL (London) league fixtures as well as access to our training sessions. Membership fees contribute toward hiring out nets at Lords, club equipment, travel reimbursement for matches, access to coaches and a whole lot more (it’s definitely worth the money). If you would like to be considered for squads and hence matches, you must buy membership beforehand.
Women’s membership is subsidised and has all the access of Men's playing and social members as well as entitlement to play in women’s league fixtures and access to women’s training sessions.
Social membership provides great access to the club and is great for those who don’t necessarily play cricket but want a great group of mates to hang out with. As a social member you can come to all our events, come on tour and get truly involved in the CC community!
