About us
We face an average of 5 to 7 negotiations every day. Your life could be in a completely different place depending on the way you negotiate.
We at the LSESU Negotiation Society have one mission: To turn you into the best negotiator you can be.
From closing million-dollar acquisition deals to negotiating your salary out of university, or even settling on a meeting time with colleagues, negotiation is everywhere. Why not get the most out of every situation by improving your negotiation skills?
The LSESU Negotiation Society is a pioneer, being the very first negotiation-focused university society to be founded in London. We host events regularly throughout the year, where you can learn all the skills, strategies, and tactics that would allow you to gain favourable terms in any negotiation.
As a member, you’ll gain access to all the activities that we host. Analyse the inner workings of successful negotiations in case studies, or gain valuable insights from prolific speakers in one of our workshops, all before testing your new skills out in our weekly training sessions. Don’t worry, no matter your level of experience, there will always be something to learn! We welcome people of all skill levels with open arms.
We also often collaborate with other societies to explore more industry-specific applications of negotiation, ranging from legal contract negotiation to negotiating terms in a large-scale M&A deal, or even negotiating international government trade agreements.
If you’re up for the challenge, you could also represent LSE in international negotiation tournaments!
Sounds interesting? Get your membership today and join us at the LSESU Negotiation Society! You’ll have an advantage anywhere by being the best negotiator in the room.
Membership
Purchasing a membership to our society will give you full access and priority to our events throughout the year, which include training sessions, and our flagship Negotiation Summit event. We often have limited spaces for each of our events, so people with the membership will be prioritised to be given spaces. Next, our workshops which involve prolific speakers and negotiation experts will be open exclusively to members only. Having a membership will also give you a chance to be a participant in international negotiation tournaments.
Furthermore, in order for your application to be a subcommittee member of the society to be taken into consideration, you will have to first involve yourself as a paid member of the society.
The membership fees will contribute directly to running the society, such as paying for travel costs to attend tournaments, and planning our negotiation workshops.
