Founded in 1897, LSE Students' Union is one of the oldest Students' Unions in the UK and is the representative and campaigning body for students at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Like other Students' Unions, it also funds and facilitates student activities on campus, including 200+ societies, 40+ sports clubs through the Athletics Union (AU), the Media Group and Raising and Giving (RAG) charitable fundraising initiatives.
What’s the job?
As a Student Staff Finance team member at LSE Students’ Union, you’ll build and maintain strong professional relationships with key LSESU staff to deliver a high-quality customer-focused administration services in our Finance team.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in finance, with a can-do approach, strong administrative and IT skills, coupled with an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have experience working with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and skilled inputting finance data to ensure both the quality and accuracy of the finance data is aligned with the finance platform that provides high quality outputs for our workforce users.
You will need excellent communication, planning, organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple administrative priorities effectively. You should be a team player and have the ability to support the finance tam to ensure their processes and procedures are maintained.
You should be an advanced user of Microsoft 365, including experience using Excel and databases to ensure the finance system is maintained and be excited to support the Finance Officer and Assistant in providing continuous improvement.
