About us

The LSESU Brazilian Society aims to promote the uniqueness of the country, from its diverse culture to its socio-economic challenges. From our annual Carnival party (in partnership with King's College and UCL Brazilian Societies, it is one of the most well-known among Brazilian students in London) to the Brazil Forum UK (in partnership with students from many universities in London and in Oxford), in 2019/2020 we organised several events and activities to celebrate our country and discuss our challenges. Besides that, we have been committed to bringing speakers that represent the forefront of national debates, such as the indigenous peoples' leaders of APIB (Associação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil) and the anthropologist Rosana Pinheiro Machado (postponed due to covid-19 crisis). The Brazilian Society is also a great opportunity to meet amazing and fun people and to make new friends!
