"MAKE YOURSELF SEEN AND HEARD"
As an academic representative, my goal will be to advocate for everyone by reflecting the diverse needs and perspectives of our LLM cohort, which includes students from a wide range of academic, professional, and social backgrounds. Although not exhaustive, my manifesto outlines the key points that I believe will benefit the majority of students:
- Academic Mentor Selection
Ability to request mentorship from available Law Professors who align with your academic/professional goals. Extending mentor meetings to 10 minutes, and assigning mentors before course selection for timely advice.
- More Post-Grad Socials/Societies
Regular post-grad social events should be organized to foster connections and help break down national and racial cliques, promoting a more inclusive and connected LSE community.
- Adherence to Event Waitlists
Event waitlists should be strictly enforced, prioritizing those on the list when spots become available.
Workshops should be organized to specifically on the SQE, the Bar, vocational schemes, and other routes for international lawyers aiming to work in the UK.
- Centralized Event Calender
A centralized calendar should combine LSE Law and LSESU events, simplifying how students track academic, social, and professional activities with filtering options.
