VARA RATANAKORN

My name is Vara Ratanakorn, and I am excited to be running for the role of LLM Student Representative. If I was one of your Representatives, here are the three goals I aim to achieve:

Student Well-being

We all know that the LLM is an intensive and demanding course. I will advocate for initiatives that strengthen mental health support, promote well-being workshops, and organise events for us to unwind and recharge.

Career Development Opportunities

We each bring unique experiences to this LLM journey: some of us are seasoned professionals, while others are just beginning to explore the world beyond graduation. I aim to collaborate closely with faculty and the career services team to organise opportunities, including creating partnerships with law firms and chambers, creating exclusive opportunities for LSE LLM students to gain insights into legal practice and mentorship opportunities.

Alumni Connections and a Peer Support Network

I aim to create a platform for alumni to connect with current students, offering mentorship and career guidance tailored to our interests. Additionally, I will create a peer support network where students can share experiences, advice, and resources to ensure that no one navigates the challenges of the LLM programme alone.
