ONE GOAL: Prioritise initiatives that provide students with the resources they need to succeed
ACADEMICALLY!
MENTALLY!
SOCIALLY!
By increasing the funds going to-
- Mental health services (given current long waiting times)
- Underfunded extracurriculars, societies and initiatives (to increase engagement with non- traditional career paths and interests)
- LBTQIA+ Action Plans (we haven’t been doing enough)
- Advocate for sustainable and ethical generative AI usage (ChatGPT and Bing now exist)
- Partnerships with local organisations (to promote social responsibility, sustainability, community engagement)
- Improve social spaces and increase social events (for a sense of community)
My experiences working with UNICEF to optimise Indian government budgets post-COVID, working at one of India’s largest financial firms, now being a student representative for the Finance Department make me the person you can trust with the efficient allocation of LSE’s resources.
Having been in various leadership roles in crowdfunding campaigns, managing funds for national teams advocating for the SDGs on behalf of the UN etc., I will lead the LSESU’s budget formation while gauging opinions, resolving conflict and creating dialogues between students, creating a budget that is as representative of student opinions as possible.
