Support my campaign for Student Trustee

Aims:

1. New long-term revenue streams for the SU so that all students can be confident in the SU’s ability to support the clubs and societies that are so valuable to the LSE including sports clubs, academic societies, and student journalism groups like the Beaver.
2. Reviewing the distribution of the Union’s limited funding to ensure that ‘frontline’ student-facing services are prioritised over areas that have less of a direct impact on the student experience.
3. Pushing the SU to do more to promote student involvement in the SU and hold the SU to account. Representing the full range of student views and interests is essential for the Union, but in order to do this it needs to be accessible and understood by students, which is often not the case.

Experience:

1. Putting on student events as RAG events officer.
2. Proactively seeking student engagement as well as liasing with the SU and academic staff as an Academic Rep.
3. Active invovlement in a range of clubs and socieites so developed an understanding of some of the challenges they face.
