GIFT OF THE GAB!

Hi, I’m Gabby and I’m running for Activities and Development officer. I’m currently LSESU Hockey President and SU sports administrator. With this experience and ‘The Gift of the GAB’ I will enhance the student experience through the following ideas:

Grow

  • Reduce or remove Wednesday afternoon class for undergraduates so they don’t miss important fixtures
  • Expand Freshers Fair in the Marshall Building- holding sport and society showcases and providing the freshers a timetable of events
  • Centralize the Varsity process, collaborating with clubs to promote and run events

Achieve

  • Bring Clubs and Societies into the spotlight with monthly awards like ‘Best Club’ and ‘Best Society’ and rewarding winners
  • Work with LSE careers to provide more opportunities to related societies
  • Regularly recap achievements of our clubs and societies on our social media and websites

Belong

  • Expansion of the Consent Ed program
  • Vetting all external venues of SU events to ensure the safety of all members
  • Expansion of the outreach roles in the committees to ensure student wellbeing
  • Further collaboration with LSE services such as peer support and student well-being services
  • Continued support and events for important causes and campaigns e.g., Women’s Rights, Pride week, and Black History month
