PARTHA SHETTY

Don’t make this year Shitty, vote Shetty!

Hello everyone! I’m PARTHA, a member of the Cricket Club since I joined the LSE. The AU has been a MASSIVE part of my LSE experience, from blocking out all my Wednesday’s (and Thursday’s recovering from Wednesday nights) for sports, to walking 56 kilometres with the AU to raise £1500 for the homeless.

As an AU executive I would want to make the Sport at the LSE as fun as possible. I propose doing this by:

  1. Getting the AU more involved in promoting Sports Society matches, competitions and socials by aggressively marketing these events IN PERSON on campus.

  2. Promoting inclusivity by making AU events equally as fun for both non-drinkers and drinkers.

  3. Driving collaboration between societies by using the brand new Marshall Building facilities to host intersport matches with live audiences.

  4. Allocating funding in a manner that develops new, smaller sports societies while scaling up established ones.

As Treasurer for UNSOC and with a 1 rep max Bench Press of 10 lbs, I truly believe I have what it takes to transform your sports experience at the LSE.
