Let's Put The G In GenSec!

Hi! I'm Georgia (she/her), I'm a third-year History student. I've loved getting involved at LSE, having been History Society President, an SU Gym Assistant, a Student Academic Mentor, and I've worked on putting the Welcome Fair together. I want to use this experience to lead your Student Union. Here's how:

LOBBY the school for change

  • Mandatory lecture recordings and transcripts so that no student loses out as we return to campus

  • Review the Academic Mentor process to ensure all students have access to high-quality academic support

  • Provide period and sexual health products in student halls, as well as on-campus

SUPPORT all LSE students

  • Improve Mental Health support especially for undiagnosed students struggling to access resources

  • Represent LSE's diverse student body by ensuring that EDI practices are considered at every step of decision-making processes

  • Reduce the impact of rising living costs through investigating how SU support can be expanded for struggling students

EMPOWER the LSE community

  • Make campus social again and introduce a late-night cafe and open Tuns on Saturdays

  • Prioritise student-led campaigns so that issues that students care about are given more visibility

  • Review the Welcome Programme to include postgraduates, under-represented groups, mature students, and student parents
