Floorball

Floorball is a fun, safe, fast-paced version of hockey that is played indoors and has similar rules to ice hockey (minus the physicality)! We welcome you regardless of your gender, age, or ability!

About us

Floorball is a fun, safe, fast-paced version of hockey played indoors with floorball sticks and a ball. Each team comprises 5 outfield players and a goalkeeper, with rolling substitutions, played across 3 periods. The rules and gameplay are similar to ice hockey (but with less physical contact) and teams are made up of both males and females.

The LSE Floorball Team has won the UKFF University League for 3 years in a row! LSE Floorball is a very social team and we welcome you regardless of your gender, age, or ability! While players with previous hockey or ice hockey experience are well-equipped with the skills needed to excel, floorball is a beginner-friendly sport. Many of our members first joined us without any floorball-playing experience, but have picked up the sport quickly during our training sessions and performed well in the competitive UKFF Universities League.

LSE Floorball trains every Saturday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the LSE Marshall Building, collectively with students from Imperial College London, UCL and King's College London. When the competitive season kicks in, we compete collectively as London United in the UKFF Universities League and travel to various universities to play matches over the weekends.

LSE Floorball has also received the Most Improved Sports Team (Special Recognition) Award at the LSE Students' Union 2020 Sports Awards.

Do feel free to drop us a message or contact our Committee Members!

We look forward to welcoming you to the LSE Floorball & London United family!
