The Research & Methods Society seeks to set up an open forum where students and faculty from different disciplines can discuss research design and methodologies on a regular basis, and support each other during the execution and analysis of the research conducted.
It does not only aim to strengthen the quality and social value of research conducted at the London School of Economics and Political Science but also to foster peer-to-peer collaboration. By opening up the discussion, we aim to encourage the exchange of experiences and information, as well as the creation of robust knowledge networks.
We aim to run 1-2 large events a term where you will be able to listen to the professional researchers from academia and corporate establishments, as well as organise socials and smaller events/workshops. Although the society is primarily hosted by students from MSc Social Research Methods and MSc Applied Social Data Science, students from accross different disciplines are welcome to join!
Have your say on your programme! Every year, students on your programme can participate to choose their Academic Representatives - student volunteers who help gather feedback and raise topics with staff on your programme.
