Fáilte! We are LSESU's Irish Society! We’re a group for all things Irish, obviously, but are frequently joined by the part-Irish and those who wish they were Irish! If you've ever been to Ireland and had a good time, or always wanted to go, you should consider joining Irish Society for the best craic around. To no surprise, our primary activities are of a social nature – pub crawls, rugby matches, St. Patrick’s Day, and much more.
Alongside our social events, we also plan to run cultural events such as film screenings, Irish dance classes, and Irish music sessions. We also aim to have academic events such as career panels and networking opportunities with Irish professionals throughout the year!
Even though we’re so close to home, there aren’t nearly as many Irish people studying in London as you might think. We plan to connect with the other Irish Societies of London to embark on several London-wide events. We hope to continue building those connections to create an inclusive, diverse space for Irish students and those interested in Irish culture!

Membership
There’s only one type of membership available – standard membership. You can purchase it year round for only £3. With it, you’ll get access to all our local social events, collaborations, academic forums, and more from the wider Irish network in London. Details about all our events can be found on our Instagram @lseirishsoc.
Events and activities
We aim to run a number of events this year, including: - Sporting events: GAA matches, Rugby match viewings - Cultural events- Traditional Irish music sessions, Irish dance and Irish film nights. - Pub Crawls - Irish Academia Panels and Discussions - Christmas Dinner - And of course our annual flagship St. Patrick's Day event!
