Joining a sports club is one of the best ways to make friends, stay active, and be part of the LSESU community. With over 45 clubs ranging from competitive teams to social and fitness-based activities, there’s something for everyone.

Sports CLUBS at LSESU

More than 2,300 students currently represent LSE, both nationally and in London, across more than 45 sports and activity clubs.

Whether you want to compete at the highest level, stay active alongside your studies, or simply try something new, there’s a club for you.

All of our sports clubs are student-led, supported by LSESU, and built around community. They offer regular training, fixtures, and competitions, as well as social events bringing students together on and off the pitch, court, or studio.

Athletics Union

The Athletics Union (AU) is a student-led body, headed by the AU President, that oversees all of our sports clubs. The AU brings the sporting community together through regular socials, including the popular Weekly Sports Night, and flagship events such as the AU Ball.

An AU membership is required to access flagship events and helps fund the delivery of the AU’s large-scale socials and celebrations.

Alongside events, the AU also leads on student campaigns and charity fundraising throughout the year, making sport a platform for positive change across campus.
