Why do students at LSE fail?

LSE is looking into why students repeatedly fail certain courses and what it can do better to support those students. The aim is to work at the root of the problem, to reduce the number of failures, that will make resits less of a necessity. Failing a subject and retaking it in any format (whether in the summer or the following year) is no fun – and together, the SU and the School want to find real ways to make things better in the future.

The School has already done some quantitative research to find out which departments and courses experience high failure rates, and why. Now the SU would like to talk to students about their experiences to be able to tell the School what student think should be done better to stop failure from day one. This is your opportunity to tell us what you experienced and what you think LSE can do.
